The Staples & Associates approach
- An engineered audit process
- Review of historical billing and energy use data
- Maximize time and manages expectations
Our energy audit process has been developed by assessing well over 100 large energy users with multiple billing meters and a variety of uses. Before committing to taking on any client, we perform exhaustive research to ensure there is indeed adequate savings opportunity. Our services begin with an engineered audit of all your historical billing and use numbers, site visits where appropriate, identification of current utility programs that apply to your use and most importantly, eliminate the less important, low potential, low dollar savings sites and meters. This maximizes our time and our client's savings while managing everyone's time and expectations.
Our energy specialists conduct a detailed audit of all the major energy using equipment throughout a building or facility. They note make, model, serial numbers and projected energy of equipment use in order to form a complete picture of your building and the energy it uses. Energy modeling is performed where necessary. The energy specialists also look at the building shell and identify heat loss and heat gain through penetration points. Lighting, controls and HVAC equipment are assessed to determine if upgrades will lead to large energy savings.
This detailed analysis combined with the historical review helps us to form specific recommendations for your facility. We present these recommendations along with projected investment and potential payback in order to help you make an informed decision. We also include details on utility, state and federal rebates and incentives that will help shorten payback time and decrease your out-of-pocket investment.
